31 WEEKS ALONG

9 Weeks to go!!!

Our baby's lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. While she may soon slow up growing in length, (she measures about 15.7 inches/ 40 centimetres from crown to toe by now), and will continue to gain weight until she's born. This week the baby continues to open and shut her eyes. She can probably see what's going on in utero, distinguish light from dark and even track a light source. Some researchers think baring your stomach to light stimulates visual development. Newborns can see a distance of only about 8 to 12 inches/ 20 to 30 centimetres. (Children with normal vision don't reach 20/20 vision until about age 7 to 9.) To complete the picture, our baby now has eyebrows and eyelashes.

Cheryl is doing very well. She went 2 months without vertigo. Recently she has had 3 or 4 occurances, but none have kept her from being able to accomplish day to day tasks. Praise GOD! The baby is moving quite often and the whole family loves to come and watch & feel all the activity.

Some other good news, if you didn't know, Cheryl broke her tail bone when she was in Jr. High School and has had to endure many years of back pain (at times severe) - expecially during pregnancy. Cheryl has been actively going to a NUCCA chiropractor (Lakewoods Chiropractic in Forest Lake) and for the first time hasn't had to endure excruciating back pain during pregnancy! Praise GOD - and Thanks Dr. Jose'.

With 9 weeks to go, we ask that you would continue to keep Cheryl and the baby in your prayers for safety in travels, health, vertigo AND patience!!! :)

Love you all,
The Scott's
